My closest JD dealer has a sign in their shop that sez “Our service is good, no matter how long it takes”.

Have you visited any of the dealerships? I find they tend to respond better to someone they have met, but maybe not in your area.

You would also get some idea of what they actually have in inventory. Sales is going to try and sell what they have available, not what they "might" get in the next 6 months based on all of these crazy supply chain issues.

I was in my dealer this weekend talking to the sales guy...another person came in and asked if they have any RTVs in stock....not a one. Sales guy didnt push any more than that and the person left.

I asked my sales guy (have known for 5 years, bought all machines from him) if it was worth taking down their name…he said there have been Hundreds of inquiries and they are on allocation. They get so many every month and have a backlog a couple of years long right now. It pains him to turn people away, but just not worth the time right now. I understood as I sat there negotiating for a KX040 sitting on the lot ready to be sold.
