Kubota B2620 battery replacement

I recently purchased a 51R battery as a replacement for OEM battery on a Kubota B2620 tractor. Turns out the 51R is 1/2 inch bigger in depth and will not fit without major mods.

Has anyone replaced their battery in a B2620 that can point me to the correct replacement? Thanks

51R is what I have in mine. Did you install the battery with the terminals to the front? The other way is a problem.

Well there's my problem... I bought a battery that is supposed to be a 51R replacement but it is not. The terminals are not post terminals and the terminals are reversed from what they should be. And as mentioned, the dimensions are slightly different. Will be buying an Everstart 51R from Walmart... Thanks.

There are so many battery brands on the market today I can't keep them straight - but after getting the terinals and size right, I make sure it is a sealed or AGM type so that it doesn't corrode the battery cables.
