i have owned the 900 for a few years, i could not stand to be with out it, just think its the best thing since the tv.. but my fuel gage and temp gage both stoped working, anybody have any ideal that i could check to correct the problem? have check fuses,i keep thinking its got to be a ground?

Wow, didn't know Kubota made a temp gauge that ever worked.
Just the usual, fuses, ground and power wire, the gauges themselves.

Feeling low on fuel? just tap the gauge a few times it'll fill right up....mine does.
Fuel gauge stopped working about the time the temp gauge started working.
With all thats right on the RTV balky gauges is a small thing. I'll replace them sooner or later I guess.

thanks for the reply, temp gage is working, plowed snow last day or so and finally got the temp gage to move, but the fuel gage is not, may take out and get a new one and see if that works, anybody know what the cost of a gage is?

On your fuel guage, check for the ground or the connector on top of the tank...

Even if you have to replace the guage, it don't cost enough to even talk about.

i did give the old wiggel the wire on the tank and gage. but i will look it over in the morning. thanks for the advice.

Surprized that since you owned it for a few years your dealer has not replaced them or inquired as to how they were working?

In the beginning, when man made the RTV, a fog descended upon the gauges, but all was not lost. Whilst other men fretted and wondered on heat and fuel, the men of orange offered replacements to the haze.

Anyway, jiggle away. My temp gauge takes a long time to "heat up" and well. the diesel mileage is fantastic. But they do work...just slowly....

Hey tom r, I have an intimate relationship with the RTV900 gauges. For months after getting my new RTV900 back in early '04 I got to enjoy seeing two milky white orbs looking at me from the dash after about 1/2 an hour of operation. Kubota promptly replaced those with gauges that fogged up in only 20 minutes. After letting them know about that, they again promptly replaced those gauges with ones that took nearly 35 minutes to fog over. After that, I gave up.

Anyway, I discovered that after several months of use the gauges stopped fogging over. If I'm not mistaken I still have one set of gauges left over for the RTV900 that were replaced because they fogged over. Being that they are a few years old now, they may have lost their internal moisture and no longer fog over. They worked fine, but got foggy. If you are in need, and the '04 gauges would fit your RTV, just let me know.

thanks for the offer of your 04 gages, and thanks for the price input, i think i will call my local kubota dealer and see if they have one on hand and try a new one. i think my 900 is a o4, that is the only problem i have had since buying it in 04, i do wish i had some doors for winter, ben thinking about trying to build some?

I got the second 900 the dealer got in. I've had several problems but Kubota took care of them. They replaced all the tires and wheels, new hood (something to do with it coming loose) on recall and then the hydrulic tank bracket broke on the back . All having to do with the first ones out I imagine. It is built like a tank and works like a tractor. Still have a problem with changing gears if you stop while under a load.

i almost forgot, one problem i am having is the fuel cap or tank, can not hardly get the cap to screw on or off. do not know if its the tank or cap?

There is a tech service bulliten out on that fuel cap. Kubota replaced my free of charge and your dealer has to do the same. The new style cap has printed on "diesel only or fuel". This is how they tell if it has the newer style cap.
