Mowing Kubota 7100 hydro power

My father has a Kubota 7100 hydro 4wd. I think they gave roughly 13 pto hp and he would like to run a 5 ft finish mower. I feel it may be a bit much and suggested a 4 ft as he already had a 4 ft bush hog. Thoughts?

I would say 5 ft would be the max cutting normal grass. The weight differences between a 4' versus a 5' is usually ~100 lbs.

I run a 5' finish mower and a 5' brush hog on mine with no problems.

What痴 funny is it is easier to find 5ft stuff in stock here at the local dealer and tractor supply. I have been using his tractor some around the farm, getting sold on hydro. Very capable small tractor.

I run a 5 foot finish mower with my B7200 and my dad has a b7100 with a 60” mm and both machines do pretty good power wise.

I got the info from tractor data-are they really only 16hp/13pto hp? Seems a bit stronger than that.

Hope your friend B7100 has some sort front weight/weights if mowing slope.

I ran a Woods RM59 60" 3 pt mower behind my B7100HST for many years with no problem. I'd have to slow down a bit in heavy grass or on a slope though.

Our B 7500 is similar in size and it came with a 60-inch mid-mount mower on it. We have also run a 60 inch Bush Hog on the back, but that's a little bit heavy and you have to go slow in heavy grass.
