Kubota 26L engine

Does this engine have any history? Good or Bad please.

Kubota engines start with a Z for 2 cylinders, a D for 3 cyls., V for 4, F for 5, and S for 6 cylinders, followed by an approx cc displacement. Typically this number is stamped on the top of the block near the injection pump on older engines and on a pad under the exhaust manifold on newer engines.

Thank you Brian for the correction. The tractor has a 6 in it. the machine is a M model. M4500DT with 3400 hours. Anything to look out for?

I will assume then that it is an S2600. There isn't anything out of the ordinary I would look for. 3000 hrs is not that many if it was reasonably cared for. I'd look for any exhaust smoking and excessive blow-by, along with how easily it starts.

Again thank you for your input. How can they talk about outlawing gambling on line. Anyone looking for equipment on line is certainly in that same area.
