Komatsu dozer?

Working on tractors and big equipment today. My buddy has a Komatsu F53A-16. Is this a good forum to ask about this equipment? If not, let me know. The exhaust stack is the issue. My buddy's dad had someone weld on a top cap and stack. So when the dozer runs it is exhausting mostly in to the motor. And that leads to the dozer running hot and overheating fairly quickly. Also, the muffler connection from the turbo to the vertical part of the muffler is split. Any ideas on a good place to order up a new or used muffler and stack? Thanks.

Check with the dealer for parts. I personally know of no aftermarket parts for Komatsu machines. All I've ever heard of is the D series dozers.

You could try an exhaust shop, or jerry-rig a 4" flex exhaust to see if it works. It will be loud though.

We had a muffler shop fix our D31Ps muffler,it now has glasspack as a muffler but its not to loud.
