Knob question on TU 180F

My Father just purchased a TU 180F! I noticed on the right side of the steering wheel on the gauge panel, their looks to be a opening where a pull switch is supposed to be but the knob is missing. Anyone know what this knob is used for?

This is not a knob, but glow plug indication.
Glow plugs you can turn on with ignition switch, turning ignition switch on your side.
Glow plug indication is not a bulb but something like coil who glow red, when glow plugs enough heat.
