Knipco heater questions, ??

Hi,
inherited an old Knipco heater, 90,000 btu, 9 gallon tank. How do I determine the correct adjustment for the air control screw? Burning Kerosene. I would think if not correctly adjusted it could produce excessive CO ?

How long should it run on a full tank?

I'd watch for a clean burning flame, no sputtering.
For the CO, just be sure to have a CO detector/alarm in the work area and adequate ventilation.
I almost rather work in the cold than work around one of these.
