KL130 loader fix released.

This applies to all KL130 loaders with serial numbers 40409001 through and including 60816032.

This fix is going to be similar to the c-bracket placed on the KL120 loader, but there are going to be 2 types for the 130..... which ever one fits properly.

Customers with grill gaurds...
Will have to have a new style gaurd that fits with this update.

Kioti is not covering any costs connected with transportation or travel..... to dealerships. This is solely falling on the dealers, who will probably have to charge for travel time with the price of fuel.

Get ahold of your local dealers and start making appointments. Let them know if you have a grill gaurd so they can get you a new one.

Thanks Joe....It must be real. I just got a call from my dealer saying the service bulliten came out and he is making a batch order for everyone here on Maui. He just wanted to make sure I did not have grill on mine. Looks like we can finally put this issue to bed...for now I am still wondering what some of the other posters who claimed to have a repair kit actually have ? can the first person to get the offical repair kit post a picture ?

If you guys don't currently have a grille guard but might, maybe, possibly someday get this very nice item then I would seriously consider getting the grille guard compatible bracket as a default.

I asked the dealer if there would be enough clearance he said there would be and there was for the first couple of weeks. When I looked yesterday I noticed it hitting the grill guard. Don't the CK 20, 25, and 30 use the same grill guard?

Check that you did not bend the grill guard. I have done this a few times by getting too close to the dump truck while loading. Hooking a chain to the guard and a big tree solves that problem quickly. Since it only mounts at the bottom, the top does not have much support and bends easily. You won't even notice you bent it until you try and open the hood.

Would it be possible to scan in the letter. I am interested in knowing how it is worded. I don't have cracks yet. At least I don't think I do, I'm going to pull the plate at 200 hours (11 hours from now).

Will they do the fix if cracks haven't showed up yet? Even if I don't have cracks, I'd like the extra strength.

Also, my dealer went out of business leaving me 70 miles from the nearest dealer. I'm perfectly willing and capable of putting the brackets on myself it they will let me.

Yes the KL120 used one of these kits for a earlier update, and this same kit will fit on some of the KL130's. Other 130's have a different cross tube and take a different kit.

Although not real complicated, kioti does want this done by a dealer so it is done properly. With the issue of have 2 seperate kits and not knowing exactly which one it takes until the dealer fits it up.

I know mine has cracks but not sure on the serial number. My dad is using the tractor at his house right now, I'll have to stop over to check what the serial number is. (I might be able to search through the old threads and see if I can find the one Becky had asked for loader info)

CK 25 purchased on 11/11/05 KL130 loader SN-50415014 - 4 small cracks at end of gussets. No toothbar, used to move gravel, level material on a dirt road & snow removal in winter. I would say it was used like a tracktor, not abused but not babbied.

I took a minute to look it up. If I read it right, you're covered.

That's the word I've heard as well. We should be getting a letter directly from Kioti giving instructions and paperwork that needs to be completed in order to get the loader fik kit sent to the dealer.

I got a letter dated 28 Mar 07 for my KL120. I guess Kioti hasn't gotten to the KL130 loaders yet.

The release was 6-17-2008 on the KL130 loader update...... parts are supposed to start shipping 7-25-2008 for those requiring a different fit from the kl120 fix. Be sure to inform your dealer if you have a grill gaurd.

Well, I got a notice yesterday for one of the KL130s I bought 3 y ago.
No offer is in it to ship and the dealer network is thin around here. I
still have 2 Kiotis in my name (05 CK30 and 06 CK20), neither with cracks.
The other CK30 I bought in 06 is still going strong with no cracks and
somewhere around 600 hr. I would like to have the kit to see how it works,
but I can not see driving 200 mi RT to get it...

Got my letter also. It's a 140 mile RT for me. I'm still trying to get one of the two dealers to let me install it myself. I'll gladly sign a letter to them stating that I won't hold them to the extra year of guarantee that comes with the fix if they let me put it on myself. Barring that, I guess I'll put the loader on a trailer and take the loader to the dealer. Saves some gas over pulling the whole tractor.

My wife said I got the letter as well. Haven't seen it yet, as it is at work. I dearly hope I can install myself. To far to the dealers place.
Although, my gas guage has, since it was new, showed empty when it is 5 gal low.. It thinks it's a 5 gal gas tank and Depratt has been waiting 3 years for me to bring it in so he can fix it.

I just got a second letter, this time for the 05 CK30 that I transferred
the warranty on. I guess Kioti has no record of the transfer? I expect
I will get a 3rd letter for the CK20 in my name. It seems to me that I should
be able to have 3 kits shipped to me no charge. Kioti dealers: what are my
chances?
