I am here to admit that I am indeed a dumba-double-s. I found the original invoice from Markham and that toothbar cost me 270$ total shipped to WA. I apologize to Mr. Markham if I steered business away, his prices have not increased substantially in the past year.

Highbeam, (new price $425) minus (old price $270) = $155 divided by original cost of $270 = 57.407% increase.

Steel must be going the way of Real Estate!

As I stated before, to me, his is an excellent product and I am very happy with mine. I paid in the same range as you but I am a bigger d***a**because I don't have a clue where my sales slip is. But at that price I might have opted out of the market altogether or purchased a lesser product knowing the limited use it would receive from me.
That is my .0314814 (inflation adjusted) cents worth.

If the quote from Markham was as posted above, then the price hasn't increased. I don't normally keep the sales slip but I found it when my wife gave me a pile of "stuff" to sift through for valuables before trashing the rest. Part of a semi annual cleaning of accumulated junk usually brought on by not being able to open the drawer due to the accumulated stuff.
