i have the snow edge and really like it. Wasnt sure about the ratchet mechanism and how much force it would withold.

SF, on the snow edge, do you put shims between the screws and bucket? I assumed the screw tips had little feet on them, was a bit surprised they just screw on as is. I imagine that would leave dimples in the bucket bottom, no?

As for the ratchet rake, don't you worry about those straps, they hold. And that thing totally rocks!

I found the W R Long Flat Tooth bar to work great in packed dirt/rock mounds. It also worked good for back dragging. Then later on I bought the Piranha Tooth bar for a different tractor seeings as how i would be working more in brush. Never had a Ratchet rake.

I have standard tooth bars on two tractors and a pirrahna on another, i like both kinds for digging but the pirrahna is much better for cutting brush and taking out small trees.

Looks like Piranha is winning the battle for me. Thanks for the input by all.

I have a Construction Attachments tooth bar, sold through E/A. It excels at digging.

I have a piranha bar on my Bx25d and love it. Thinking about one for my Kioti DK5510 with 72” bucket.

I have the Piranha, and it does a ridiculously good job at clearing brush, trees, and anything else that gets in the way... I also have a grapple and a tree puller, but for uprooting brush, saplings, and trees 6" and under, the Piranha is my go too weapon of choice.

I never imagined just how much I would use it, and talk about bang for the buck, it has made me a believer...

So looking at ordering the Piranha, I have the CX200 loader with the 61" bucket. Should I order 60.75" or put in 61" as the bucket size?

I followed the measuring instructions on their website and it was a perfect fit, so probably worth a read
should you order one, because, if I recall correctly they need to know some other details regarding the condition of your bucket.

Same here, read their online instructions for a good fit.

Based on my needs (primarily), and all of the feedback from the folks in this forum, I just ordered a piranha tooth bar today for my 72" bucket. The reviews and feedback (here) from those who own them are consistently exceptional. Seems like a nice increase in FEL capability for a few hundred dollars. I'll update this forum when mine arrives and I get it installed. Anyone here that can tell me how long the shipping process typically takes for these bars? (meaning how long before the factory / dealer ships it). Thanks in advance.

Piranha comes with attachment stubs intentionally just a tad narrower than bucket walls.

Attachment hardware pulls attachment stubs tight against bucket walls.

Order 60.75" width.

Just a warning. The holes on the attachment tabs wound up partially overlapping a raised portion on my LS 4140 bucket. Had to return it and they made longer tabs.

If your bucket has flat sides, you will not have an issue. If not, send a picture and dimensions with your order so they can work around it.

I welded one using a 3/8" 5" flat stock and backhoe bucket teeth for my 55 hp NH compact. It rips out tree stumps, rocks , and works well in hard compacted soils. About $200 in parts for a 66" bucket.
