Who makes the UTV vehicles for Kioti and are they sold under another brand? Someone told me that E-Z GO (a division of Textron) has the same UTV and its made by a company called Deadong. They look like a nice machine - any reason to stay clear of them. Any recalls?

Daedong builds Kioti and Bobcat CUT tractors as well as some others. I've a friend with a Mechron UTV and his has been trouble free; a little noisey(diesel)and not as fast as most other UTV's

Kioti is Daedong's North American name. So yes, Daedong builds Kioti products and private labels for others.

They are made by Daedong, our local dealer sells them. We have a Kymco that dosen't have as big a deck as the Kioti. The Kioti also has a bigger battery. We prefer the bucket seats of the Kymco and it has proven itself in floods etc. I think the Kioti is probably more hard work designed but we are very happy with our machine. I like the storage area under bonnet and under seats in Kymco. I fitted a UHF radio in ours. It has a beautiful ride. Top speed 73 klm.

EZ-GO OEM's about a half dozen UTV's, but thats not one of them.

I bought the first one in our area Its a "Mechron 2200" 4 WD high-low range ,locking diff. This not a machine that doubles for fun. it has the same diesel as the older DK20 tractor. I have pulled trucks out of a ditch(neighbor) and out of the fieldThe steering was locked so Ihad to man handle it to get it to go my way, didnt even bog the engine. I drag full trees ( 12" at base) up to the spliting area) . This thing is a Beast but as mentioned it only goes 24 mph top speed ( full or empty . I had the top ,windsheild , and dump bed added. It holds a lot of rocks with no problems. Need to put a good radio in though LOL

Depends on what you want.
You want to work buy a Daedong (Kioti in the US).
You want to play, buy something else.
You want to work and have an extra 4 grand, buy a Kubota but it ain't that much better...no matter how loud their owners yell.
****, I'd yell to if I wasted four grand.

I looked at one of these at the dealer the other day and they look stud hoss stout to me. I do not consider the 24 mph top speed to be a drawback. Why on earth would you need to go faster than that? The price is pretty good compared to a large engine size regular 4 wheeler and some of the other UTVs out there.

Best value in a UTV out there.
