Oil & Fuel Kioti CK30 will not start

I am sending a snail letter to Chang Gue (C.G.) Kim, president of Kioti/Daedong. I can't accept this.
By the way, after doing all this I decided to replace the filters in my CK30. Can anyone with a CK30 confirm that there is indeed a spring under the fuel filter as shown in the service manual (See enclosed picture. Can't see there would be space for it.

Yes, there is a spring under filter.

Spring in mine too since it was new. It holds the filter up tight to the top of the filter mount.

CK posters: Is your spring an actual coil spring as shown in post #21? Also do you think it is possible that Kioti changed the design to use a simpler spring-like tab to position the filter element? I think Bernty said (in a PM) that his lower filter housing had some kind of tab but no coil spring.

Thank you for creating and posting the Kioti Injector Pump tutorial. The pictures and illustrations are fantastic. We have a 2007 DK45 and will probably have to repair/replace our pump in the near future.

My 2004 CK30hst has a little neck/tube projecting down from the center of the fuel valve assembly. The filter has a hole in the center of one end with a rubber sealing ring to seal on this tube. The other end of the filter has an approx. 1/16 deep by 3/4 round depression in the metal cap on this end. My fuel bowl, still using the original clear plastic one which hasn't cracked yet and a replacement bowl on my shelf just in case that is milk colored plastic, both have a 1/16 high by 1/2 round tab molded into and projecting from the bottom. The spring is a coil spring as in the diagram. It is about 5/8 round, 3/8 to 1/2 long made from approx .020-.025 diameter wire. This spring fits in the depression of the filter and over the tab of the filter bowl holding it in place and putting light pressure on the filter to keep it secure on the valve tube. I have no clue if Kioti changed their design on newer models. I guess they could have went to a flat metal spring tab in the bottom of the fuel filter bowl. I haven't checked my parts manual recently but believe the CK25,27,30, and 35 had the same part number for a fuel filter bowl.

That description matches what is on my DK35se also.
