Kioti CK2620 - Telematics

I'll just say I appreciate not having it on my CK2610. It's just not something I have any want for.
I dont know, as long as it isnt Controlling anything, if my Ck2610 had it, i would leave it on. I would Not pay for a subscription to the app, or an upgrade fee, but if it just came that way, I would probably download the app, check it out, and forget it exists. For a company with a handful of machines, I would likely pay for the subscription, and possibly pay for an optional upgrade. Also, if I had the machine at a remote location, either on a job site, or maybe a hunting property, I would see it as a good option.

I would be interested to see what data its actually gathering. GPS/Glonass, sure. Oil pressure and coolant temp, most likely. Hours, im sure. But I dont think there are really any other sensors to gather data from?

Here's an example. As you know from the 2610, the engine and display is basically fully mechanical and there is no ECU so I don't think there's much the telematics unit can record about the engine. I haven't fully worked out how the app records engine hours yet but time and location is the only thing reported from what I can find.

Every degradation of our liberty and freedom came with a "good reason", which is always part of the grift. Look at the TSA, or any other government agency for that matter... when handed the control, they never stick with their original purpose... in fact very few actually even accomplish their original purpose for existence anymore, because the original mission statement was never really good to begin with and myopic in its application. My 20+ yr old Chinese crate tractor is basically 60's technology, has been great... and isn't talking to anybody.

Government control is not remotely the same as a tracking feature offered by a private company, as a feature. Not everything is about politics, some is about free market, customer demand, and company's do want data on their customers too, for marketing, design, and strategic planning.

So, yesterday, I had to leave my Ck2610 at the lake, on my property, but about 1200ft away, through the woods, and within view of other homes, and a second access point , because of a flat tire. Would have preferred to have a tracker on it. When I was selling the old house, we had already moved, but needed the tractor at old house for some clean up; would have preferred to have a tracker on it then too.

Same with the Honda 700-4 SxS. These aren't cheap items, and they do get stolen...

If you are that paranoid about your property buy your own trackers and install them in your property.
No manufacture is putting in any kind of tracking/recording device in your equipment just for you.

No, they Do get info that has value for them., but that doesnt mean its Against you either. Not everything in life is binary.

If Kioti threw one in mine, I wouldn't mind, but I also wouldn't pay for it as an upgrade, or a subscription service

I remember when I was working for DOT. We had just got a notice saying the warranty work was denied on a new grader engine because the operator was overspeeding the engine numerous times going downhill.
Their system was unbelievable with what it could do and that was over 5-6 years ago so I can imagine what it can do now.
It would give you the location of the machine, fuel burn per hour, percent load on the engine, hydraulic and coolant temp, fuel, water and DEF level. Even so much if you disconnected the master switch before the system had a chance to back purge the DEF system. Geofencing was an option so if someone stole the machine it would brick itself outside of a preset area.
