Kioti CK 30 Final Purchase Product/Pricing Help

Hello all, this is going to be lengthy as you all are my last line of expertese. New to this forum but not TBN & I have finaly made my decision on a tractor. I do need some help. I've read back into history and seen tons of info but I would like to get real time/current info on my specifics

Just arrived at my new home (Twin Mtn. NH). 80 acres of solid woods with a 400 yard climbing drive (ledge pack). Intended use:
1. drive maintenance (crown and overall maintenance)
loader and backblade
2. drainage ditch maintenance (clean and clear for meltdown)Backhoe
3. BIG! Snow removal (backblade)
4. Woods clearing. (clear undergrowth in lower 10 acre pines to include lots of dead wood and other fall downs.

Love to have a new truck and plow and a new tractor but the tractor accomplishes many more jobs so that decision is made.

Purchase List
CK30HST w/KL130 loader and 60'' bucket (tooth bar?????)
KB2365 Backhoe w/12'' bucket (subframe and Hydro kit incl.)
Rear Blade (Toughline 7')

(Wallace), can you help me with expected price? Seems to be all over the map. Any other input is surely welcome.
I have been advised that the 7' rear blade is great for snow removal and grading. I can use the loader for knocking back the banks as we get allot of snow.
Any expieriance with the snow removal subject would be greatly appreciated.

Regarding the backhoe. I wasn't sure if there was any need to move up to the KB2375.

Quick attach plate???? Not sure why the CK 30 doesn't have it when it comes on the DK35. Do you have to get this off market with a different bucket? Since there aren't allot of front end attachments is it a big advantage?
Grapple bucket??????? (for woods clear)
If I need to brake this out to make it easier on specific topics, I'd be more than glad to do so.
I'm hoping you guys can address topic by topic and we'll take it from there.
Trying to finalize purchase this week.
By the way, I was quoted a 7' Toughline back blade that not only has angle adjustment but also pitch.

Sounds like you are on the right track. I just got a CK20 TLB with the 2365 BH so will base my response on my first 20 hrs.

The 2365 is a fine BH and well suited to the CK20. My CK20/2365 combo is very strong but I assume the CK30/2375 would be even stronger which would make stump pulling and similar tasks go quicker. If I was going to buy a BH for the CK30 I think I would go for the 2375 even if just for the added reach. Depends on the $$ difference I suppose.

I am using my set up mostly to clear brush, pull stumps and bush hog. The one regret I have after spending all weekend out in the field working, is that there is no grapple attachment. I made do with a chain and chain hooks (see photo) but that was far more cumbersome and involved getting off the tractor twice for each load. You mention clearing brush from a 10 acre plot; if I were in your shoes I would also consider getting one of the aftermarket grapples from the start. If you don't make sure you get chain hooks mounted on your bucket.

I have not yet mounted a toothbar but will do so shortly. As you will read on the forum, a toothbar makes digging much easier. I managed to use the FEL without toothbar to rip out some 3-4 inch softwood trash trees by pushing them over then using a shallow dig to get under the roots. A toothbar would clearly have helped with this and I intend to install one soon.

There really isn't alot of difference in strength between the 2365 and 2375, just reach/dig depth mainly. If you ever want to dig a hole deeper that 7 feet, you will want to step up to the 2375. I would recommend the bigger hoe. It is a personal preference tho.

Thanks for the info, I'm with you and would really like to have a grapple as it will cover a lot of work. Have you done any research?
Based on usage, this is were the quick disconnect would be great but I haven't got any detail response on this yet.
Is the toothbar factory or after market also?

I'm with you, and pricing thing is an issue. Not sure what the price point should be and I'm hoping to get some feedback from the members. The dealer quoted 6k for the KB2365 including the subframem Hydro kit and 12'' bucket. That seems way to high.
Really could use some advise on the backblade for snow removal and if anyone is using it. From what I saw the market is around $600 for a Tufline GB1-84-7.

I can talk to point #4.

I've cleared about 5 acres of woods so far with my CK30 HST. The trees are dense enough so that there is not a lot of thick brush but a lot of waist high "non woody" undergrowth. The undergrowth pulled up pretty quickly with a landscape rake. Actually I've been amazed at what the rake will do. It clears the under brush and drags the woods clean all in one or two passes.

I use the bucket (no toothbar) to push over small trees and then to pop the tap roots (it works real well once you get the hang of it). Larger trees I cut down and dig out the stumps with the BH. The tooth bar and brush gaurd would probably help out here so I would consider both.

I've used a set of bucket forks for hauling stumps and logs out of the woods for burning/cutting. They actually work great (probably about 6 of 10 stumps can be picked up without getting off the tractor). I do need to dismount to load some of the large fallen trees, branches, etc. onto the forks for transport but I can get a pretty large load out in one run (the rake drags all the small stuff out very easily).

The CK30 has been great at this task!

I use my back blade for snow removal and it works fine. I have a 6' and feel a 7' would be no problem. I think I only paid around 350 or 400 for mine but I am not certain. When removal snow from my gravel drive, I can't get all the snow or I start moving gravel. Also, if the snowfall is too great, you will come over the top of the blade, which will require more passes. I think my blade is 18" high and we had 1 snowfall of more than that last year and 2 others were the drifts were higher than that. BTW, I during one snowfall it was VERY wet snow and I had to move some snow with the loader because the tractor couldn't pull anymore as it all held together and I was pulling snow 1 1/2' deep and since it was so packed the it was not pushing off to the side and was actually pulling the snow that was under the tractor just from the buildup from the back blade,

Having a CK20 w/kb2365 BH, I would recommend the 2375. I have found quite a few times where an extra foot would have saved time. The deepest hole that I have had to dig was about 3'. But, on the reach side of things 1 foot is alot.. to me anywhow. Trenching about 300' would be about 10 less moves. Easier to dig around stumps. Digging into hillsides and anything else where reach could be an issue that extra foot would save time.

I'd go for the KB2375. My CK30hst handles it nicely and one of the members even has a Rhino 85 on his and mentioned no problem. The 85 is the same as the KB2385. The extra reach might come in handy. Sometimes, I wished mine had a little more reach. The 2385 does have higher bucket and dipper specs. If you can swing the extra few hundred, I'd at least go for the 2375. Just my opinion.

Not even the 2375 should cost that much! I would go for the 2375, but for less than $5K if you're buying it with the tractor.
A toothbar, to me, is a must. Not only does it assist in digging, it assists in loading tangled up debris that would otherwise just push off the front of the bucket. It was one of the best small investments I have made for my tractor.
Keep in mind that any weighted item you add to the FEL is going to lower the capacity for lift. A quick attach, unless really needed, adds a good bit of weight. Same for a full grapple. I would recommend you check out the add-on grapple arms offered on Ebay instead of a full grapple set up which would weigh too much, costing you too much capacity.
ATI offers a quick attach for the KL130 loader, I think just over $500. Not sure of the weight though. You must buy buckets and other things like forks that are set up for quick attach rather than the standard buckets the KL130 uses.
I use my KB2365 all the time, and another foot of reach would be welcome, especially when I'm digging DEEP pine tree tap roots. The extra reach of the 2375 would help a lot.
I don't ever do any snow removal /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif, so I can't add anything to that conversation.

Markhamwelding.com produces a good bolt on toothbar. Seems to be well liked by the folks on this forum. I just ordered one today $238 total for a 54" bar and shipping. That was cheaper than any other price I found.

The type that bolts on and lips over the cutting edge is a good choice. Just two bolts to bother with makes quick changes easy.
Markham's toothbar is probably the best deal, and many many members sing their praises for service. I bought my Woods toothbar through my dealer at a special price, but their retail is higher than Markhams. It's a great toothbar though, and has really stood up to all that I've put it through, which is substantial.
I think you'd be pleased with Markham's.

I put a 2375 on my 30. The dealer already had the 65 mounted when I called and had it changed. I wish I would have taken the chance on the 2385. When I stared looking I thought I would never did deeper that 6 ft so why go bigger never considering the reach. I am so glad I have the extra ft now. It was a $400 upgrade but worth every penny. I probably never will dig deeper that the 6 ft but every time I have to move forward I think of the decision to go bigger. /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif

As for the tooth bar I also had one mounted. It lips over the edge of the bucket and attached with two 7/8 inch bolts thru the side of the bucket. I took it off now for some grading with the front bucket but it definately makes digging easier.

I will be getting a back blade for snow removal as well so I can't help there
