Does anyone have some pictures of how the mounting system works?

My father has offered to give me the backhoe from his Ford compact and I'm curious to know how Kioti attaches their hoe to the tractor before I commit.

It's been several years since I've seen the Ford hoe, but I believe there are a pair of tangs that drop down on the mid point of the tractor and a pair of pins at the rear. The hoe subframe slides onto the rear pins and then you pass a pin through front of the sub frame to attach it to tangs to lock everything in place.

I have a front mount blower for my tractor so I think I can use the rear mount point of the blower subframe and weld some pins that are attached to the rear drawbar for the rear point. My biggest worry is if the drawbar mount can withstand the abuse a backhoe may place on it.

My hope is to see how Kioti made the connection and go from there.

Thanks,

Jason

Parts diagram is here:

Look like it's fairly reasonably priced at roughly 1200. Can't make it yourself for less than that.

In reality part #3 might be compatible with the Ford hoe with some slight modifications.

The front attachment point will require some additional work as I think part number 1 goes in the same spot as the rear subframe mount for the front mount blower, but I think it can be overcome with a little extra fab work.

I'm curious to see what you come up with, I have to modify mine that was on my Kubota to now fit my Kioti NX.

Hi o2batsea.The post about the backhoe subframe is very similar to one that i posted a few months ago and didnt get much response. Here in Aus there is very little help or knowledge about this subject.I was very pleased to see your subframe diagram but unfortunately it is not good enough quality to read and have someone make one for me.Is there any other way i could obtain a better diagram from you ? I have been holding out for the Kioti manuals on line coming to fruition but there is no sign of it happening. Thanks for any help.

Sorry mate thats all I have for you. It's nothing particularly high tech. It's 1.5 x 3 inch box tube with a couple cross members welded in for stability. I suppose with a little barnyard engineering you could fab up something very effective.

As I recall there are a couple of anchor points that get attached to the frame forward that the subframe hooks into and then another slot under the PTO shaft. I had a Kioti BH on my former tractor but don't recall ever taking detailed photos but I'll double check.

These are all the photos I can come up with. Might be helpful but I don't have any measurements to go with them. Note the hooks on the tractor frame up at the front of where the subframe attaches. No lock there just slide the tube over the hooks. The subframe is secured by two pins that drop down in the rear portion of the subframe receiver under the PTO. I think both those areas are shown in a few of the photos if you zoom in.

This thread is a bit old but I'm looking for more info on the subframe for a Kioti CK30. I have images of the front mount but need more info/pics of the rear mount. Is the rear mount a separate bracket that bolts onto the hitch somehow? I'd love the subframe diagram that was originally in this post if anyone has anything.

I'm looking to build a subframe mount so I can use a Bradco 611 off a skid steer.

I have a KB2475 hoe on a CK35. The manual only showers a DK and a DS subframe. The DS diagram looks like what came with my tractor. Cannot get pics right now.

Interesting. I have never seen the factory manual on the 2475. Your 1st photo shows the toplink
mount on the hoe. Do later pages tell you to use the toplink, or not?

Using the toplink connection or not, was/is an issue, but I think it should be used, based on
photos and a video of fatigue damage on well-used units. This is an old-fashioned design; I
much prefer a "4-point" style of subframe, even if you have to go custom.

On CK20s and the new CK35 replacement (CK3510), the fuel tank is behind the driver's seat.
This caused some minor changes to the newer 2475 subframe, making it stick out back even more.
On my property, I would not be able to even drive across places where I have swales.

This is great - thank you! Can you tell me how part #3 (the rear bracket) mounts to the hitch? I can't see how that attaches at all.

I'm not a expert on these but as for your comment re: top link: if you're talking about part #4 from the second image, I believe that's just a cross bar from the subframe to the hoe; not a top link. There is one on each side.

The manual does not tell you to hook up a top link. Actually the seat support and center platform is in the way. They are both removable, I'm guessing that whoever makes the hoe also makes a 3 pt hoe and this is a shared part.

Here are some pics of the rear mount 2012 CK35. Different from the parts diagram of the DS35, the rear mount has two legs and an arch going over the pto.

Wouldn't a 3-point hoe also need the seat?

The earlier 2375 also has the toplink hole, and factory folks said to use it. Dealers sometimes
said not to use it.

You get a lot of flex if you don't use it. Hence the damage on hoe frames with lots of hours.

Next time I mount the hoe I'll see if I can hook up the top link. It definitely will help stop the hoe from rolling back when putting down force on the bucket.
The top link would be in compression and putting all the force to the mount on the back of the transmission case. Not sure if it was designed to take a large compressive force on the top link.

Yeah this is definitely different than what the diagram shows. Are both versions bolted to the hitch or are they welded?

/ Kioti backhoe subframe and mounts #19
Not sure what you mean by hitch. The diagram and pics show 6 bolts at the bottom of the tractor and 2 bolts below the pto. The unit on my tractor shows this and also, 2 legs going above the pto secured with 4 bolts about the top link mount. Nothing is welded to the tractor.

Only with a 3-point setup would the toplink take all the forces (tension and compression) of the hoe
in use. In the factory Kioti subframe setup, the forces on the toplink are only the forces that
flex the subframe, since the hoe is not free to rotate as it is in a 3-point setup.

I have never seen this hoe or the 2375 in a 3-point setup, and I do not know where or if it was ever sold
for 3-point mounting. It seems strange that Kioti would provide a toplink mounting point
that would not be used.

With hoes on CUTs, a flexing subframe is not good.
