Kinda hot for Christmas!

I just rode in our annual Christmas Parade yesterday. It was 85 degrees in the shade with high humidity. We couldn't even wear our uniform jackets because of the heat. My old horse already has his winter coat so he was pretty hot by the end of the parade. It just doesn't seem like Christmas when it is this warm.

Looks like fun. There's somethin' about 80+ that just says "sleigh bells" in my book.

No one is riding with me. If you expand the photo, you can probably tell that it is just the saddle fenders and straps that you are seeing.

Same here in florida. I did a hay ride last night. Got so hot and sweaty during setup and prep that i had to take a shower before the ride.

Should be in beach attire for xmas it looks like!

Seemed funny moving firewood to the front porch yesterday.

Saw a lady leave her big SUV running at lunch today when she ran into the store to keep it cool.

Sure is nice to be able to work outside in a short sleeve shirt in December, though. One of the perks of living in the South.

Yep, our Christmas plans include Kayaking in central Florida this year.

Not doing that here for sure.

Wow! That's weird. Yesterday I looked at that picture twice and was sure I saw an extra pair of feet dangling behind yours. Today, I look at the picture and see none of that. All I see is the heels of your boots. My old eyes are playin' tricks on me again.

My friend called from upper northeast. He has ice sheets on his car.. asked me how it was in florida. i told him I had shorts on and sunglasses and was out working in my yard! I think he either hung up on me or dropepd the phone because his gloves were so thick and he was still shivvering!

I konw this weather is crazy!!! We are running our A/C, and the folks in the midwest are just trying to stay warm.....with all the ice they have and millions w/o power, we need to remember all of them in our prayers!

I'm in Naples, FL until tomorrow morning... and the weather here is just beautiful, about 85 and sunny...

Sure beats the wx we're having back home in Illinois/Missouri!
