Takes the Same .6 per gallon as any other container.
I said he's need a lot of it. I didn't say he'd need a higher concentration. It helps if you actually read the post you're replying to.

How do you know?
Simple, you seldom see them outside people's houses.

Yep Nothin like feedin a house fire with a few hundred gallons of diesel fuel.
People have been doing this for years. Fireman around here don't advise against it. They must not have received your permission. I will let them know to contact you.

BTW, look I replied to 3 posts all in one post. Amazing.

The red is probably Power Service 911, a alcohol based emergency additive. It is only used to thaw out a frozen or gelled system.

A 0 Here we only have one fuel.
If it's not gelling in peoples cars, pickups and tractors it won't gel in their home heating systems.
1*So what were you using instead ??
2*I just got a 1 Quart white bottle at Wal Mart the other day.
Something like $6.88.
What are you running your tractor on ???????

Another additive is Motorcraft Anti-Gel used for the Powerstroke diesel and is available at local Ford dealers. Part #PM-23-A is a 20 oz. bottle that treats 125 gallons for a retail of $6.99.

White bottle of PS Boosts Cetane (up to 4 numbers), boosts power, disperses water, prevents gelling, keeps injectors clean, lubricates fuel pump and injectors and does not contain alcohol.

Red bottle 911 reliquifies gelled fuel, removes water, de-ices frozen fuel filters, also lubes pumps and injectors but does not provide Cetane power boost. I do not know if it contains alcohol since it does not say on the bottle.

My last 96 oz bottle of 911 cost 13.99. I don't remember how much the 32 oz white bottle was since I bought it by the case with some other items. The white bottle is the one to use. It goes a long way since one 32 oz bottle treats up to 100 gal. and the red bottle mainly used to reliquify gelled fuel takes 96 oz. per 100 gal.

After reading this thread I remembered I did not have any PS on hand for emergencies. I have never had a problem but I like to be prepared and its currently 9 Deg F here with about 10" of snow on the ground. I picked up a quart on sale at my local farm store on sale for $4.59. Thats the best price I have ever seen. I add 2 big white jugs to my 300 gallon tank when I have fuel delivered.

No, just my tractors and 3 diesel trucks. I heat with propane.

Same here, the diesel fuel is for 3 diesel trucks and four diesel tractors.

We heat with hardwood in the wood stove and cook with propane.
