I don't recall saying you didn't have 55hp. But just for the record, 40.5KW is actually 54.3hp. Pretty sure I said my book only listed the 495T and 495T1, and neither of THEM had a 55hp rating (59.14 for the 495T and 51.23 for the 495T1)...)</font>
You are correct in that recollection...and I don't recall saying that I don't have 55HP either. I put the photo in to provide additional information to help you in the identifying process.
I was not aware of the T2 engine and it's not listed in my spec manuals. The manual lists the 495T rated @ 2500 rpm, 495T1 rated @ 2400 rpm. Does your book also list a 495C and 495D rated at lower rpm's, 2000 and 1500 respectively with different Governor models?
I did notice on the engine label (1st photo) the rpm rating is 2300, backed of by 200 r's as you suggested. This leads me to think that the governor model might be the same as one of the two...making power at different rpm ratings.
Assuming this to be the case, are you saying then, I could adjust the throttle stop a hundred rpm or so with no problems? If so, I'll try that before screwing with the rack on the injector. One more thing, the wire that runs from the rack adjustment cap also runs through the throttle stop. So I would have to cut that anyway to adjust it.
I'll be going up again this weekend and see what the governor model is, whether it's a T-300-1250Z as on the 495T or T-300-1200Z as on the 495T1.
