How hard is it to fix the reverse in my L1500 it keeps poping out of gear? And what would the cost be?

I found a NH dealer in socal that did the same machine for $400. It was totally w/o reverse in either high or low range.
Parts will run around $200.00, and you will have to split the tractor to repair it.
First thing you want to check though, is your fork adjustment, it may not be engaging fully.
