Yup, makes lots of sense. It was only after carefully evalyating the features and build quality between JD and CC that I was able to really make a meaningful comparison between models. In the end it led me to buy CC. I have nothing against JD. Most of my neighbors own, and swear by, their JD tractors. From what I can see their opinions are completely justified, JD makes some nice machines. On the other hand so does CC, and looking into what models between the two are actually comparable, and then looking at the prices the CC wins hands-down as a better value. One neighbor brought up the resale value but I am not buying this to sell it, that's the dealer's job. The best value you can get out of a major mechanical purchase (tractor, car, motorcycle) is to use it, maintain it well, and get all the life out of it for as many years as possible. I plan to mow the wheels off this machine for a good long time.
