@JeepHead I'll let everyone know in my group and you here. But some day there is going to be a clone of the 346/353. ;)

Not that I care anymore being I love my echo 501's etc. I'm all set now.

But will make it easier for guy to get parts etc.

It was a PITA to find stuff on that project packrat 346 OE. It is running a aftermarket 44.3mm topend on it testing. Only off of oem time wise by about 10%
If I didnt know it anyone would be happy. Another guy ported one and said they port up good too.

Yep several guys waiting.

Just top covers etc alone is drying up and people want stupid prices for parts. Let alone a whole oem saw now days.

I used to buy new ones cheaper then guys selling new ones for now days.

Case in point 2 I bought new in NE 50cc.

His Plug looks like he could lean it out quite a bit. Not sure what this Unlimited Coil means, but I assume no Rev Cutout, so at 14,000+ not sure if Leaner would be better.

But a 14,000rpm cut out and leaned out would shave more time off his cuts.

Thats what he was showing in steps before adding a H to the carb to turn it down. The plug at end is after riching it up.

14 without a H side is lean.

12.3 was getting close on my oem one way back without H and unlimited coil. To being lean.

I'm watching mine G3120 clone now to see where it goes. I put a unlimited G395 coil in it to test out with stock no H carb.

I have a H side clone carb too if it is needed.

Pics shown of a stihl 363 that been shipped over to US.
Is supposed to be carbed version of the new 400. But thats where it stops.

Stihl 363 open port cylinder and piston pics.

Then compared to the new 400 if recall right.

Checking out the neojunk clone H side carb for 3120. Never put it on saw and pump diaphragm feels like one I would replace when stiff.

Reason why a bunch of us swore off on this clone maker. They are way behind.

Farmertec non H carb works great. These neojunk ones are hit and miss.

No wonder folks have issues with neojunk clone carbs. Brand new carb and the diaphragm is stiff from get go.

Never had mix across it or installed yet.

It’s not even close to being pliable for pumping like Tillotson kit.

Inside round metal piece was bent alittle too.

Overseas testing emissions on some newer saws.

Emission numbers of some saws I seen posted. =

Appears that the 564 XP uses clean air ports to “stratify” the scavenging mixture, just like in “strato” chainsaws with carburetors. According to data from the EPA, HC+NOₓ (or CO) emissions are comparable to those of “strato” saws equipped with carbs and better than those of the 500i.

HC+NOₓ[g/kWh]
564: 59.5
562: 62
7310: 55.6
572: 55.1
500i: 68.5

CO [g/kWh]
564: 252
562: 299
7310: 317
572: 225
500i: 406

CO₂ [g/kWh] EPA/spec sheet
564: 791/762
562: 763/778
7310: 749/743
572: 808/841
500i: 732/706

I’ve come up with 3 ways to run a spark screen on the Egan pipe for 2511.

One I like is done like PSS V2 screen in my 2511 cnc muffler.

Other way is outer with a clamp. John can show that style he does.

The other idea I was thinking on was at base of pipe. But didn’t know if spark screens should be between the pipe and exhaust outlet. Any feedback on that way?

Jason

I only did this to show for the guys that want the Egan pipe gains but have to run a screen in some areas.
