I am considering purchasing a Johnny bucket Sr. (www.johnnyproducts.com) for my JD 425. I would really appreciate comments from anyone who has seen or had experience with this bucket. It would be used for driveway maintenance (about 175 yds) and lawn and garden soil moving. Basically grading and filling low spots with delivered material.

Thanks in advance for any input.

I don't own JB Sr But have owned a JD425 with loader and now own a JD X485 with a 45loader Since it looks like you will not need the capability of loading a Dump cart or dumping over obsticles. It should work for you nicely. John makes a Great product and Because the JBSr has full hydralics it should work well as a dozer blade. But if you already have a dozer blade for your tractor. There is another company you may also want to look at superior-tech.com They produce a Kit to turn you current dozer blade into a slip scoop. Nice thing about the JBsr is it is nice alternative to a JD45loader in that it does not take up as much storage space. I think you will be happy with the JBsr.

I got it Wednesday and tried it today. It is great , better than I thought it would be . Built good, and easy to use, would not take my money back.

Amos,

After 6 weeks, do you have any more to say about the Johnny Bucket? Good, bad, whatever?

FWIW, I've put a year on my Johnny Bucket and most of it I would classify as hard use bordering on abuse.

I had to have the 3pt. linkage (mine's for a CAT1 3pt, but basically the same) changed and they did it quite quickly without any hassles.

If I can't kill it with a CUT, I think they will hold up nicely on any garden tractor.
