I recently "built" a JD850D XUV on the JD web site and requested an online quote from the local JD dealer in pennsylvania. I never heard aything back from them. The next day I got a follow-up e-mail from Deere asking if I got a reply. When I told them no they sent a reminder to the dealer to give me a quote. Three days later and still no quote. I guess this dealer doesn't want to give a price out on the internet to me. You would think with the economy the way it is they would be very anxious for business. I guess I will have to look harder at the other brands or consider a JD dealer further away.

Not to make excuses, but...

The online quote system that Deere has for the dealers "can" be hard to work with. If you have multiple stores, and is not set up correctly at the dealership level - most, if not all of the quotes can end up not being responded to. Obviously this is not acceptable, but little has been done to rectify the situation from Deere's end. If you have heard good things about your dealership from others, give them the benefit of the doubt, call them and ask for a quote. It may be that it never got to the right person - even after a call from Deere.

I agree with Bleed Green, I would call your JD dealer, tell him what your looking for and then go down there after you explained your situation. I am sure he will be more than willing to help you. Sometimes they don't get the infor from the web site. Other times it may go to another dealer who is further away.
