John Deere model year

I recently "inherited" a nice John Deere 790. I didn't get any paperwork and very little info on this sweet little tractor.

I don't know how I ever got along without it now that I've had it a couple of months.

How do I go about finding out the year it was made? I need the information for tax and insurance purposes.

Call your local John Deere dealership and give them the serial number.

IIRC - the "model year" is what year it was sold, no matter when it was built.. But Like BillyP mentioned the dealer can give you more information..

I hope your enjoy your 790, they are great tractors..
