3020 John Deere has a PTO loud whine only when engaged does this sound normal

Which type trans(PS or SR)? PS trans has hyd engaged pto & SR trans has manual linkage engaged pto.

PS or Sr it takes hydraulic fluid for transmission and hydraulic lift

Would say partially synchronized since it’s synchro-shift and not power shift

Syncro-range pto has brg similar to throw-out brg on traction clutch that brg presses on pressure plate fingers to engage the pto clutch plate. This brg or other pto drivetrain brgs could be cause of the whine.
