I have a JD 175 lawn tractor, the problem is that the hydrostatic drive won't move forward or reverse .

Can you fairly easily move the tractor by pushing on it while the engine is off?

Make sure the transaxle is full of fluid.

belt slipping? pulley on hydo turning, but input shaft is not (pulley hub stripped out)
