Is this a test? Why not just take them apart and find out for sure? It's not like you will loose a lot of fluid. Take it apart and put it back together.

You have to give him some credit for asking, he may not recognize or know anything about hyd fittings.
Could you recognize a JIS or a JIC fitting? I don't think I could be certain with out measuring the angle.
I would suspect they are 37 degree flare. The unknown is are the tubes american size or metric?
3/8 tube should use an 11/16 wrench on the tube nuts.
