LS MT235EH
I bought a new mt235 LS in April 2024 3 point hitch has been jerky since I bought it. Took it back to the dealer was told it is not suppose to be like that. After keeping it for 2 months was told they all do that. contacted LS USA customer service with little help. Does anyone else have this problem and if so how can I get it fixed?

Have you played with the speed down switch under your seat? (near floor between legs) Checked the oil level in the rear end? Run it up and down about 1000 times? Mine is smooth.

One other (goofy suggestion) check your ground cable at both ends. Clean it real good (shiny bare metal) & coat with dielectric grease or vaseline after retightening. My 3-pt didn't act up. but right before I lost connectivity through my battery cables @ the main fuse from corrosion, I had jerky hydraulics on my grapple that went away when I replaced the cables/post clamps/lug ends & cleaned all connections.

The speed down switch only affects down speed. The hydraulics on the bucket works fine.Haven’t checked ground wire yet. The dealer should fix it under warranty but they won’t

If you pull the hitch lever quickly to raise, they usually go up smoothly. But if you pull the lever slowly or try to make small adjustments, they will be jerky and go up in increments to match the lever setting. It's annoying, but they will all do that if that's the symptom you are having, and the dealer would be correct that it's pretty much normal. If it is jerky even when pulling the lever quickly, then something is not right. Try other machines on a dealer's lot and see how they compare.

If as the dealer says they're all like that you should be able to go to any unit on the lot and have it react in the same way. If others are all smooth performing the same operation and yours isn't the dealer has a problem to fix.

Yes, mine does it too. I was also told it is "normal".
They are "quarter inching" valves, meaning it will move a 1/4" with either up or down.

When there is an implement (weight) on the 3 point, going down, using the adjustment knob helps stop the jerkyness.
Going up, not so much.

This is a problem with the mt 225e and he series also my dealer has changed a valve body on mine but nothing changed have contacted customer service and they said that they didn't receive any information from dealer but know that dealer .but they did . Also a contact information for Midwest region is Donald Brien 307 757 6644 donald.brien@lstractorusa.com . Never had a tractor that the 3 point was extremely jerky like this it is a safety issue and operational issue how does one use a implement properly in field with it moving so abruptly good luck I'm still working on it also don't give up

I had an old G3038 made in 2012 and now have the XG3025 which was renamed the MT225E. Numerous friends and relatives have MT235, MT240, and MT225E models. They all do the exact same thing because it is a characteristic of the hitch valve and there's nothing we can do. Replacing or adjusting the hitch valve won't fix it. Unfortunately, Don Brien or anybody else won't be able to change that. I just learned to live with it, and once I got the lever stop adjusted so it lowers to the correct depth every time, and got the drop speed dialed in, it's not a problem as long as I don't pull the lever too slowly to raise. If I try to raise slowly, or make small depth adjustments, yup, the jerkiness is really annoying but that's how it is. Otherwise, I love the tractor and got a good deal on it so I try not to let it piss me off too much. It's the only thing on the tractor I don't like. I remember lots of old John Deere farm tractors years ago that the hitches would chatter and jerk when raising, and Case tractors with the jerky powershift that broke shear pins on implements if the pto was running, and Fords with the jerky select-o-speed. Now days, we have higher expectations but sadly there's still no machine that's perfect.
