jd790 fel curl problem

My 790 with 419 loader has a problem when trying to slowly curl. Instead of curling the bucket goes down(dumps slightly). If you curl more aggressivly (even slighly more) it works fine. Anyone know waht I could check? Thanks

Does it "power" down or does it just fall due the gravity? If it's the later I would suspect the "load checks" in the valve (#6 in the diagram), they keep the bucket from moving until there is positive pressure.

Just gravity I think. It's worse with a load. It will hold until you try to easy-curl. Are the load-checks easy to replace?

You will have to see how accessible they are...but generally yes.
