Last fall I purchased a brand new 790 from a dealership about 30 miles from my house. There is another dealership about 5 minutes from where I work. I gave them a shot at the deal but the other dealership beat them hands down. Now I have a very small problem, the bolt assembly that holds the bottom of the rear fender fell out. I figured I could just go the the dealership by my work and pick up replacement bolts and install them myself. The bolts and busshings ended up being $27.00
And they didn't even have any green paint on them
. I told the guy that the tractor is under warranty and gave him the serial number, purchase date and hours. He then calls me back and says JD will not warranty this repair unless his mechanics install the bolt, otherwise I have to pay the $27.00. By this time I had already installed the bolt. Is this guy blowing smoke up my rear?? I told him to have the service manager call me but have yet to hear from him.
