I need some help fixing a leak. Looks like it's coming from the seal on the side of the transmission where the swashplate shaft (M71828) is connected to the v shaped cam for the forward/reverse. I think I need to replace the seal (#22) but it could be the 0-ring (#19) which is part of the trunnion. Has anyone replaced these seals before, and is it doable without dropping the transmission out of the tractor. That darn little seal #22 is like $50 from JD, I can't believe it's so expensive.
