JD 790 Rear Weights Question

Do I need to install wheel disk part M138917 prior to putting rear weights on my John Deere 790 or can I just attach them to the rim of the tire?

Do you see a reason to use it if you already have a rim (key #9)?

Do you have the 60# weights that match up to bolt holes in your rim?

I am going to order the weights and the hardware tomorrow. I just wanted to make sure I didn't need to order the discs, too. I am glad I don't because they are expensive.
