Sorry I can't help you with any pics or first hand knowledge. I'm a fan of the JD4115 though. Please post pictures as you finish the project!!!

Hi RG1 does the belt tensioner bracket bolt to the water pump?

What's the orange colored know up above the steering wheel? is it just laying up there? Never seen anything like that on one here.

Hi RG1 does the belt tensioner bracket bolt to the water pump?

Sorry to be slow, but I had to run back out to my shop behind the house to check.

No. The tensioner bracket runs over to the engine where it has a double bend in it that goes down and back towards the engine. It has a hole in it that the mounting bolt passes through, where it threads into a hole in the top of the engine below the thermostat housing. If you look at my 3rd picture down from the top, you can see the bend I am talking about in that bracket. That should give you an idea of where to start looking for the mounting hole just below that.

Good stuff, great pics. I looked hard for used 4115 when I bought my 2210 but couldn't find one. I think they are a great tractor. Guess that's why you rarely find a used one for sale.

That, and the fact that they only made them for about 2 years IIRC. :)

That's what I thought after looking at it some more. Thanks. Did you see my reply to you up a couple posts about the bracket?

I'd just like to have something a bit bigger and I think the 4115 fits that need. They seem to be bullet proof and I love their look.

Font's cab rocks!!!!!!!

Your alternator looks thinner than mine ill have to wait til water pump arrives to discover how it routes. I added another photo

The bracket should still mount to the same point on the engine though. The mounting hole is above and to the left side of the water pump, just below the thermostat housing.

I've been pretty happy with mine since I bought it about 4 years ago. I had a 4500 that I bought new before that, and a new 4119 before that.

You guys may have already seen this, but here's a great technical data website. Gives all the specs for the 4115 or any other tractor you might be searching for.

You nailed the model run RG1, 2003-2004.
