Look at your first picture. See the small hole at approximately the 2 o'clock position in relationship top the rear of the alternator? The mounting hole should be just around on the front of the engine from that hole. Your alternator is indeed thicker, but it is thicker towards the rear of the engine. The belt still runs off the same pulley in front of the water pump that mine does. The mounting hole should be in the same place.
