I don't think the 2210 has a clutch, is hst. I think your belt might be slipping. Remember to engage at a lower RPM then raise the rpm as needed.

Can you give a bit better description of what you mean by "slipping"? Is this the rear PTO or the mid PTO?
The 2210's PTO isn't belt driven, but if you have a midmount mower, that drive belt might be slipping.

We're neighbors, BTW...I'm out in the Red Lion/Windsor area.

It probably is a midmount mower, but let's see if the OP responds wih more information. That doesn't always happen though...
