JD 1520 PTO lever

Inherited a 1968 JD 1520 tractor. PTO lever is not between shifters. On left side there is a lever for either 540 or 1000. But cannot find the lever to engage the PTO. Help Please!

Put up a photo of your controls, and figure the PTO lever will be obvious to one of our members and help solve the mystery.

You can download a free 1520 operators manual @ https://techpubs.deere.com/en-US/Search/Equipment.

PTO control lever should be on LH side of trans case. In order to change speeds from 540-1000 one must change rear shafts. Dual stage clutch controls the traction & pto clutches.

Thanks guys for your help. I did figure it out. It’s a lever I thought was correct, but being a double clutch it was throwing me off.
I did go into the web site suggested but all information had a price.
