I'm posting this thread to all who have had PTO issues where, when the PTO is engaged, it looks like it is on on the dash, but the PTO does not rotate, and then throws a code for no rotation detected. Before you do the troubleshooting I did, you'll want to check and see if your tractor is equipped with a 540 PTO and 540E PTO option, usually behind the operator seat. Ours on the 5075E is on the right side. So first, what is the 540 vs. 540E option? The main difference is that 540 PTO uses a standard engine RPM for 540 RPM PTO output, while the 540E (Economy) PTO allows the same 540 RPM PTO output at a significantly lower engine speed, resulting in reduced fuel consumption and engine wear. The 540E is ideal for light-duty implements that don't require full engine power, such as sprayers or small mowers, saving fuel and decreasing operating costs.
If you engage PTO, and it doesn't start rotating, check to make sure that lever is fully engaged or your PTO will not turn. I checked the switch, the pressure before and after the Soilinoid and a few other things, but come to find out it was just that lever had not been fully engaged in the 540 position. Once I fully enngaged it, wa la all good and back at it!
Hope this eliminates some heartache for someone.
