I like to have "fingerprint investments" ... Stuff I have that I have possession of, and have my fingerprints on it from putting it up for when I may need it ... I keep a full supply of all filters and fluids for each engine/vehicle I own for at least one complete change ... Usually multiple "extras"!

I think most of us do that. And in the case of less expensive equipment than the OP, a backup machine or two. Maybe something that was retired but still workable, if less efficient.

When getting the harvest in is a 'bet the farm' critical task, this seems only reasonable.
