I went out to the barn this morning and my 2015 wouldn't start. It used it on Wednesday evening to clean up some limbs and brush left over from the wind storm and everything was fine then.

While inspecting the problem I noticed that the three rivets that hold the fuel tank bracket to the fender were all broken. I'm assuming that because of this, the tank has sitting a bit lower and I have a fuel line pinched somewhere. The tractor acts like it wants to start but it isn't getting gas.

Has anyone else had this? I'm figuring I could try and bolt the bracket to the fender but any ideas or suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks!

Make sure your PTO levers are not engaged.

To clarify, is it cranking? or when you turn the key you get nothing?

I got it fixed yesterday afternoon. Here's what I think happened: Because the tank bracket was broken the tank was moving around quite a bit. Dirt that was in the bottom of the tank must have gotten stirred up and clogged up my fuel filter.

Once I cleaned it out and bled the injectors everything was back to normal. Then I used some self tapping screws to anchor the tank bracket back to the fender.

I'm generally very happy with my 2015. I do have to say that I don't think that spot welding the fuel tank brackets to the fender is a very stable method...just my two cents.

Bad news...I tried to start my tractor today when I got home from work and it wouldn't turn over again.

Since I have a clean fuel filter on it, I'm starting to wonder if I have a bad glow plug. Does anyone know if there is one glow plug per cylinder on this model? Maybe I shoul change those?

Are you saying that the starter motor won't turn the engine over or does the engine turn over and not start? As far as the fuel tank coming un attached, I have not heard of that problem before. I wish I could see that.

The engine turns over but doesn't start.

sounds like it's probably either the PTO safety switch or the safety switch on High/Low lever..

Is there some sort of safety switch other than having both in neutral?

The only safety switches on the 2015 are the PTO, and the Hi-Lo lever on the transmission. If that's in neutral, and the PTO is off, there's nothing else.

KEEP IN MIND, the engine will not even turn over if these safeties aren't met. So if it's cranking and not starting, that's not the problem. It sounds like a fuel problem.

Question... ... When you turn on the key, do you hear the fuel pump. That pump is right under the fuel tank on the right side as you look at the rear of the tractor. Maybe a wire got pinched, or pulled out. I imagine that's pretty easy to do if the gas tank falls down on it. And it would explain your lack of fuel.

I can hear the fuel pump working. When I bled the injectors on Sunday there was fuel coming out.

I took out the glow plugs and tested them. Two of them are bad. Here's the wierd thing: the two that are bad are numbered 0334 and the one that's still good is numbered 0361.

Why would here be two different glow plugs? My tractor only has 155 hours. Are glow plugs part of the warranty?

It seems like the tractor should have still started at least in the afternoon, even if the glow plugs aren't working.
When you turn on the key, how long does the glow plug light stay on? It should stay on 8 to 10 seconds, and if it only stays on a couple of seconds, your tractor needs a updated timer and glow plugs.
I will have to check the numbers on the glow plugs I have in stock, to see what is going on with your glow plug numbers.

Nowhere near 8-10 seconds. Typically around 3 seconds at the most. Can I adjust my existing timer or do I have to install new?

I'll be interested to hear what you come up with on the glow plug numbers.

Thanks!

I checked all of the used glow plugs that I have taken out of 2015's and replaced with the ones for the 10 second timer. They seem to have many different numbers on them, so I don't think the numbers on the glow plugs, mean very much. As for the timer adjustment, there is none, just a replacement timer which requires a wiring harness adapter, and different glow plugs. I have sent you a PM with a couple of ideas I could help you with.
