Is there a "good" electric pressure washer?

I bought a Kranzle (German) a couple of years ago and that's good. Don't know if you have those in the US, or maybe they're called something else. It's a well known commercial machine and the components (pump mainly) are much heavier duty compared to products like Karcher, intended for daily heavy use. I have a "vehicle" lance that limits the PSI to a sensible level for that purpose and another lance for cleaning concrete. That's a good tool, blasts off algae, stains etc., as long as you don't hold it too long on one place all is good. Expensive, but worth it.

i have had a HF electric for 3 years now, guess i should consider myself lucky, i have run it straight for 30 + minutes at a time

I picked up the blue hf one finally as my karcher is getting well worn. the wand leaks a hair and it lets the motor cycle on now and then.. which is annoying. the hi pres wand was getting work too.. but man it cleaned alot of tractors over the years!

Pressure washers are good or not depends upon your need. If you want to do something that is out of it's work area it will be bad for you. But If you do what the pressure washer meant to do, it will be good to you.

What Pressure washer can do

- Outdoor decking cleaning Decking
- Paving slabs cleaning
- Wooden exterior cleaning
- Garden furniture cleaning
- Car dust cleaning

Well, they work to clear dirt quickly and effectively. They are also extremely easy to use and the electric pressure washer is also a really quiet machine, making it ideal for at home use. These low maintenance machines, that can easily clean a whole range of furniture and outdoor items, will quickly become part of your cleaning routine.

Well with 45 already one more shouldn't hurt....probably long bored from reading all these.

I had my gas pressure washer stolen along with an old 7 gallon oilless air compressor by some neighbor's day labor best I can tell....clues attest to that. Was a good omen. I didn't like either. It did cause me to have a look at my security and do something about it. For 40 years you could leave your place unlocked and nobody would bother it. No more. Place is developing fast and too many new and transient faces. (There's a message disguised in here...heads up folks.)

To replace it I decided to go electric. Went to HD and bought a Ryobi 1600 psi for $99. Perfect. Washed my house and deck with it.....didn't realize how good it used to look, like freshly painted. Use it primarily on mower under deck hygiene with my new adapter hootus that allows you to spray vertical from a horizontal pressure washer shaft, a Johnson creation.

No more all the "stuff" you have with gas if you can stand the electrical cord.....like anything you don't want to get tangled up, just one more thing to fool with when you want to wash something.

I really like the fact that you turn it on, it pressurizes and shuts off. Sits there and does nothing till you are ready and then it's back off. Long power cord and light weight. Much easier to get around where I want it as compared to gas. Works for me.

My first electric was a Deere unit about 2200 psi @2 gallons/minute. That was actually a very handy unit that worked well for cleaning tractors and was money well spent. Bought this in the late 1070s' worked it hard for several years.

The next time I dealt with electric units I bought 4 of the Northern 220v 5hp. units. These were about 4000 psi. at 4 gallons/minute. Used for a dealer car wash set up, under commercial use these would hold up for about a year and were toast.

I use a gas driven 13 hp. unit now but not frequently, hope it holds up for a few years. Plenty of power 4000psi. 4.5 gallons/minute.

The electric models with auto start/stop would last longer if you do not cycle them too much. The constant start/stop tends to wear out the contactors. With care and private use these should last much longer than commercial use by car wash employees.

I bought the Sun Joe, #1 on this list. It is surprise pretty darn good. For the money...it is VERY good.

I have the Sun Joe as well it works great for my needs, I just finished cleaning my front and back porches (concrete). Ran it 2 hours straight not a whimper.

Direct Tools | RYOBI 16 PSI 1.2-GPM Electric Pressure Washer

I just bought the ryobi in the link above for $50. I took it out to the farm today and did some cleaning and it did good enough. I figured for 50 bucks it's well worth it since is portable. If I had a garage built I'd go with a big stationary unit @ 4k psi. I hope the ryobi holds up.

I've got the greenworks 2000 psi electric model from Lowes: Shop Greenworks 2-PSI 1.2-Gallon-GPM Cold Water Electric Pressure Washer at Lowes.com

It gets the job done but any kinks in the hose and the pump needs to be re-primed or you get air in the stream for a while. Overall I'd say it's decent for the money but really not a heavy duty tool for anything serious. I'd say for inside the barn or garage it should be decent but if you need to remove paint or do deep cleaning it's a slow job. No comments on long term durability as I've only had it six months.

Is there a "good" electric pressure washer?

Not exactly what the OP was asking about but here's my electric PW I installed just inside my garage door when I built my house 24 years ago.

It's a five HP Baldor coupled to a General TT9091 pump. Stationary mounted and plumbed to a swinging overhead boom for washing cars.

The Ryobi 14122 was on sale for under $80 earlier this year (IIRC). Picked one up and absolutely love it. It's no gas powered Hotsy, but with some Purple Power has cleaned all our vehicles to spotless of road grime and years of small leaks. Also cleaned cement patios, driveways and walkways with ease. If it broke tomorrow, I'd buy another at full price with no complaints.

You don't have to buy a pressure washer from Hydro-Tek, they have the WORST I mean bad customer service.Currently i'm using and I would recommend Landa Pressure washers.
