I agree on the replies 12 hours is nothing, BUT I GOTTA ASK if you brought in a tractor with 12 hours would they trade it in as new or used? I would bet they would discount your trade. Just sayin
My tractor had 3h on it at delivery, but I put on at least half an hour test driving it. It was a 2019 layover anyway when I bought it in July 2020. All good, and it has been a good tractor with 0 problems at 82 hours.

True. Here I am with 3 hours on my tractor worrying about hooking up my wood chipper and running the new machine at PTO speeds, LOL. I'd be happy for the 12 hours...
However, the wood chipper is gonna get hooked up anyway...and I'm gonna run the chipper because...I have work to do!
My MX6000 had 3/10 of an hour on it when I purchased it recently.
12 hours on a "new" tractor means that it was used extensively as a demo and had all sorts of "Bubbas" doing stupid **** to it. I'd demand a substantial discount or other compensation for their "used" new tractor.
Even a new car comes with a few miles on it. PDI Pre Delivery Inspection etc. Just read the manual, do first oil change on time and don't worry about it.
They probably burned up 12 hours easy, just loading and off loading, moving it from one side of the yard to the other, also they probably started it a few times to show its features to other customers at the dealership.
Well, if it had had any problems in those twelve hours, at least they'd have had to fix it. Unless it showed duress, Id maybe call and see what they'd volunteer to do for you, maybe a free fifty hour service, but otherwise a tractor is a robust piece of equipment and it should be fine. I like the question about what they would do on a trade in with 12 hours though.
