A good question! If we did not know evil how would we know what is good? What would be the base line? If no evil was around would stubbing our toe be evil but, how could we answer that question if we don know what evil means? No it’s a Ying and Yang thing. They both must exist together for they could not exit without each other because every thing has to be compared to something.
