The wife felt I needed one of these hats /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

But try and ignore me and focus on the scenery /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

I believe this was some where in the Connemara countryside, I need to ask my wife the name of the place, oops senior moment /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Scotty,

Amazing pictures!!

The castles and rock work are why I want to go there one of these days. I've been to a few coutnries in Europe and thought Luxenburg had some great rock buildings, but obviously Ireland looks allot more interesting!!!!

I'm also struck by how similar it is to New Zealand. Not the big castles and churches, those are in a much smaller scaler there, but the scenery and countryside.

Did you know that some of the old castles and royals allow hunting on their lands? You stay in the castle and the game keeper takes you out everyday to stalk deer. There's about a dozen different species available!!

I've always wanted to go there for the hunting, but now I want to also go sight seeeing and exploring!! /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Thank you for sharing your pictures.

I don't think I've seen that movie more than a dozen or so times. /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif And you certainly made some good pictures of a beautiful area, Scotty. I know you and Kathleen enjoyed that trip.

Thanks for the compliments on the pics guys, it was without a doubt a wonderful experience.

The pic of me with my little irish cap was Kylemore Abbey, this another pic of the abbey.

Here are a couple road side visitors /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif Actually you had to keep your eyes open on the country roads, because they do stray on the roads /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif
