Great install..Best part is, everything fit where I was planning/hoping it would on my own 4530. Surely one year difference couldnt have changed that much hopefully. I have been meaning to get third function installed for awhile now, I think you may have just lit a fire

Irsmum,

Great writeup. I have been wanting to do this myself. After your write-up, I will attempt it. I did not see or misunderstood. Where did you tap into the hydraulic lines? Thanks for the info.

It is described in post 3. You first need to identify your power beyond hose on your loader valve. Mine went to my 3 pt lift in the rear. You simply insert your solenoid valve in-line with this hose. So it goes like this:

Power Beyond>>>>>Solenoid valve>>>>>>3 Pt

Irsmun, Is this the solenoid?

Hydraulic Solenoid Valve - 12 VDC - D03 4W3P Open Center Spool
IH-D03S-2H-12D-35

Is this the subplate?
D03 Valve Subplate
IHI-D03-SP06-01

There are so many choices and I wanted to make sure I bought the correct ones. Thanks.

It looks right but you have to get the right valve for your tractor's hydraulic system. If yours is open center then, yes. All D03 subplates fit D03 valves so no issue there. J_J or MtnViewRanch were great at answering my questions. You can go to my first post of this thread for a link to all my dumb questions before I started. I posted this and my other thread because I noticed everyone was asking the same questions over and over. Its usually a fundamental misunderstanding about how a hydraulic system works.

Great install! I wish i would have done mine this way instead of the diverter , i think it would have been cheaper.
