I have a B2910, and just recently purchased a used LA 402 Loader. I should have the loader within a week or 2. Here's my question - Has anyone installed a loader on a B2710, B2910 or B7800 ....and have any tips to share? I am just trying to decide if this is something that I want to tackle myself, or pay the local dealer to install. Since the loader is already assemblied, my questions are centered around the main frame assembly (what has to be removed; tips on alignment, etc.)

I havn't done this, but my loader came with an installation section in the owner's manual.
Simple enough, though the frame for it goes all the way back to the ROPS attachment on the rear axle, so you need to be able to lay it out, drive over it and lift it into place.
From memory a car/truck floor jack was suggested for the lifting and axle stands to keep it in place.
Don't get under it )-:
Then the hydraulics is GENERALLY a power beyond port to the valve block and a return line.
Did you get all the hoses with the loader ?
Did you also get the "tractor side" hoses and couplers ?

Thanks for the info. I haven't picked up the loader yet, but it does include all hydro parts (hoses, fittings, etc.), including the hydraulic block which connects to the port.

Kool,
I guess the next question would be the manual; i.e. if Kubota has manuals for both the tractor and loader available on line and if there is an install section.
I havn't dug my manual out, but I know there were instructions to loosen MANY frame bolts.
Fuzzy memory, but I think it said to lift one end of the frame into position and pin it in place with one bolt(each side) and then swing the other end up. Whether it was front or rear first I don't remember and your's might well be opposite anyway.

Bottom line; I would do it myself.

My L402 was installed on my B2710 when I bought it, but I have the manual and the intallation instructions look very clear. I wouldn't try it without a couple hydraulic floor jacks and probably a few jack stands- the main frame has to weigh a good hundred pounds and the side frames and braces are also pretty heavy. If the bucket isn't mounted on the boom, you'll need some kind of heavy lift to get it together and postioned on the stands so you can drive into it.

I tend to agree. I looked at the parts list for a LA402 and the main frame weights about 225 lbs. I have a good floor jack and an ATV Lift so I should be in good shape. I don't have an Loader Owners manaul yet, so would it be possible for someone to scan the pages that have to do with installation? It will be at least a week before I can get my hands on a manual.

I found the Parts Manual for a LA402, but not the Oweners Manual. There's an owener's manual for a LA514 and others, but I could not find one for a LA402. What am I missing?

Sorry I assumed it was the operation manual not the parts manual. I didn't open it up.

The loader that I purchased from Ohio is on the way and should arrive on Tuesday. I have a couple of pre-installation planning questions just to ensure that I minimize any first time mistakes. Since the owners manual is in the shipment, I don't have anything to go by except for a few pics and gut feel.

If you have a B2800, B2710, B2910, do you think that the hydraulic hoses needed to be connected to the tractor as step 1? Based on the locations for the hyd. prort and the return line, it would appear that I should do this before I install the main support bracket. As you know, space is limited near the hyd. port and the connection point for the return line.

If you happend to have a LA402 Owners manual, I am just wondering if s
it states what should be done first.

Thanks
