Well what better place to get information than from the source. Have been considering purchase of 35 to 45 HP Kubota (L3950, L4400, etc). Lately have been looking into the Kioti 40-45 HP shuttle tractors, they look pretty good and have more weight, which is important to me. However have no experience with them at all, nor do I know anyone who has one. Would appreciate Kioti owners overall impression of their machines, good and bad. I may very well take one of these off Mr. Wallaces' hands. Thanks......

I have owned a Kioti for about 6 years now. I have no complaints. Great tractor.

For years Kubota was my dream tractor ...until I actually started shopping around for my first one. At one time Kubota practically owned the CUT market, but I quickly came to the conclusion that Kubota had made a strategic error by resting on their laurels too long and allowing other manufacturers to gain a serious foothold in the CUT market.
I think all the major tractors (eg, Kubota, Deere, NH, Challenger, etc.) are pretty good machines. You highlighted one of the main reasons I chose Kioti (the DK45SC), the extra weight. The second was that I could save something like $6000 over the comparably-equipped Deere, Kubota, NH or Challenger. I haven't regretted my choice one bit over the last three years I've had the unit. I especially like the way it starts right up in even the coldest weather.

Thanks for this information. I am in the same boat, Kubota has been my choice over JD & NH, but this Kioti line up is giving me giant second thoughts. If I have to pay big bucks for quality and perfomance that is a price I am willing to accept. However, if I can get comparable qualiity and performance for less, it would be foolish to do otherwise. This information is greatly appreciated as I have no direct knowledge of Kioti, but from what I can see and research, Kioti looks very good..........Kubota has made in my opinion somewhat of a mistake (as have other japanese makers of autos, etc). After beating GM and Ford at their own games, in some ways they are heading towards making the same mistakes.........I dont' want to be a part of that.

I did the Kioti vs Kubota debate last year. I went used Kioti due to better ergonomics, for me, and better value ($9K cheaper). Even considering the Kubota dealer was 7 miles away and the nearest Kioti dealer is 55 miles away, I have put 100hrs on the machine in a year and have had no issues.

Thanks "8"........makes sense to me. So far Kioti has impressed me with what they have going on. Eveyone lays an egg now and then, but overall everything seems to be in line. .....

I was in the same situation. I wanted a digger. I thought some of the Kubotas were too light and get something with heft meant looking at a B21 or bigger. And the price tag for that setup was crazy. The I ran across Kioti. Got to looking at its weight and hydraulic capacities. Then I test drove one, and that was it for me. Has been a good tractor thus far at 321 hours and four years.

I think the Kioti warranty is better than Kubota? I was looking at Kioti site today, I thought all tractors were at 4 year motor and drivetrain but has that changed?

Actually TYM is 5 years. Kioti 4, and Kubota and JD are 3 (I think).

I bought a 2008 Kioti DK40se with KL401 Fel last year,I have around 85 hours on it.No problems so far.I looked at the Kubota(42-44HP) line also but for a extra $7,000 grand verses the DK40se I found the Kioti to be more heavy duty built than Kubota.I have heard and read very good things about Wallace tractor sales & service on this board.I think you would be very happy buying from them.coobie.

Can't go wrong with Rick, Amy and the rest of his team, very professional. I buy all my supplies from them, shipping and all. One phone call with Rick and the information he's willing to share has paid for my shipping costs ten fold.

Dealer does make a big difference with something like a tractor, a complicated piece of machinery.

For what it's worth I've had no serious problems with my Kioti and she starts no matter how cold, realy nicely made piece of equipment.

I was torn between the two K's myself. The reason I got Kioti was that I felt for the same money I got more bang for the buck. Better weight, hydraulic flow, lift, warranty. Either tractor is good for sure, and maybe if money was no object I would have either traded up from my CK to a DK or a Grand L but the CK has been AMAZING and I have no regrets.

I used to rent a Kubota loader/backhoe; as my wife put it, it would be good if we need to move a truckload of feathers. I found to get the backhoe to work, you needed to run the engine at full RPMs, and even then pulling on two controls at the same time did not give smooth performance.

I have 150 hours on my CK-20HST, I use it in the dirt and the snow. I've pulled out large stumps and plowed and blown large amounts of snow. I cleared and excavated a 2000 square foot area for my house extension with it - no problems at all.

I don't think you'd regret buying Kioti.

Same here.. 3 years and 400 hours and haven't looked back at all.

When I was looking, for the price of the little BX-24 I could get a larger CK-20.. then for 2k more I ended up getting the CK-25 and have been VERY happy with it. So much.. I want to upgrade to a DK 45 with cab. But.. I need to steal some of Rick's share of the stimulus to buy it.

BTW.. Wallace is great. My local dealer wanted $170 for just the 2 hydraulic and engine oil filters. With Rick, I also got the air filter and shipping for $120! I also got the plastic cap for my ignition switch. Rick's boss was very nice on the phone too!

So, also think how good the dealer is for you. If you are near Wallace, I highly recommend a visit if you already haven't.

I too looked at Kioti, Kubota, deere, and NH, and I chose the Kioti for it's real purty color:D

I own a 2007 DK45S and have put it through some very rough stuff. I've got only a little over 120hrs on it but so far it has been like a tank. No problems what-so-ever. A good product at a good price. With great dealer support to boot, it was a "no brainer" for me. As you can tell I am a very happy owner.:D

When I was looking to finally buy, I checked out the 2 K's & the Deere. It was really no hard decision. Its going to be 4 years with my CK20 HST, and I could'nt be happier with it. The dealer service i have gotten has also been great.

i am a montana owner but as far as the 2 k's i have a friend that flat out works his 3240 to it's limits and beyond. i cant imagine anyone using a piece of equipment any harder, and the bota has never failed him. matter of fact he's a member here and i expect him to comment on this. his favorite attatchment a logging winch which he will drag the tractor around trying to free up logs.

Knobby,I purchased a new DK40 in 2002 and have used and abused it regularly and with close to 400 hrs I've only had to replace a tachometer cable($8.00).
I wanted a big three tractor originaly but, when I did the math I found that I could get the machine that I thought that I could never afford.
What I really like about Kioti is that their service recommendations are all genaric, there is none of the usual "you must use Kioti this and Kioti that".
Also filters and repair parts are super reasonable,I can't say that about my International or the big three for that matter.
I would buy another one without hesitation....and of course it would be bigger.....Mike.
