Unless that transaxle is a different design than the many I’ve worked with, that is not the proper orientation. The shaft should be pointed up. That’s where the fan would mount, or a pulley

Looks right to me. The 2000 series (according to my expert who owned one) had horizontal shaft engines.

I should have added the disclaimer that it’s very possible I’m wrong. :D Looking closer, you’re right. The placement of the brake lever shows that it can’t rotate 90 degrees like I thought.

I ordered it ,but it hasn`t arrived yet.I am a little embarrassed about my concept since all of ya`lls are so nice.I will post pics when I get it a little more together.

What do you mean by the position shown. If as shown in the picture on surplus center the answer is yes.
