OK, been digging in JDParts on the 3000TWENTYs...

The dash setup, hood, and fuel tank will be changed like the 4000TWENTYs

The rear lights will go to a single unit, work lights will go oval...

The engines are changed, but the hst transmissions are the same.

They are going to a treadle pedal.

there is a new upgrade, called cruise motion, it is the old cruise upgrade, and motionmatch. A must have...

no blowers show up anywhere yet...

parking brake is a lever

pto control has been moved to the instrument console for on off (electronic)
pto selection is now mechanical lever
it has three options! mid, rear, both!!!!

Wow. That treadle pedal thing is a real shocker. I wonder why they changed? Are they still going to use the eMatch system (e.g. loadmatch)? I wonder if they will have the brakes on the same side as the pedal? I wonder if they will make the small chassis or SubCUT treadle pedal, too. Arg... So many questions, so little facts. /forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif

Hey! I resemble one of those Smileys...

SO, one of the biggest complaints about the TENs looks to be solved. You will be able to run the mid pto by itself.

I was afraid that the control was only going to be mechanical. I really like being able to smack tihe pto control to turn it off. Now there will only be one on/off switch. C/forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif/forums/images/graemlins/cool.gifL!

Ok, that is funny. As we all know JD has always made a big deal out of having separate pedals. I couldn't see them changing. (the two pedals are the best, so why change)

Well, some TENs. My 4110 has mid, rear or both settings for the PTOs.

I just thought 'd check and see if anybody noticed...

As to what is best, wow. I know the treadle pedal bothers my knee. But if I had a rental yard, that is what I'd want to rent out. The first day on a two pedal setup is kinda scary, actually. but after one or two crashes, you figure out what those arrows mean... Course at a rental yard, everyone in a first day....

OOPS! The Mother Lode Thanks, Craig...! (info gleaned by cef2lion's trick...)

PowerReverser will drop the "e" No longer "e: controlled. Since there are only two trannies, it probably makes sense not to have electronics on the reverser....

MFWD is now controlled by a lever, but is still shift on the fly. It still provides 4 wheel braking.

The new machines will have diagnostic codes AND a chart to interprit them...

Tire options:

Front Tires
Available All Models
7.00-14 6PR R1 GA
27x8.50-15 6PR R3 GA
27x8.50-15 6PR R4 GA
25x8.50-14 6PR R4 GA
25/10.50LL-15 6PR GOLF GA

Rear Tires

43x16.00-20 4PR R4 GA
15.00-19.5 6PR R4 GA
41LLx18-16.1 6PR Golf GA

Wow, the R1s are 6 ply but there is a 4 ply R4....

Mother load is right. Ok, I forgive you for your treadle pedal statement. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

I am surprised at how big the fuel tank is - 13.5 gallons. That is only 1 gallon shy of a 4000 Twenty tank. Weren't the old tanks only about half that?

no, I "think" they were 10. No one really knows...

I always assumed that they were about 7.5 gal. like other mid-size machines.

The TENs have a 10 gal tank.

BTW the fuel system still will be self bleeding, I hadn't seen any indication, and worried that it would not stay that way. /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif

Look at the 50 hr (break in) service difference:

3x20
After First 50 Hours
· Change engine oil and filter

4x10
Break-in - After First 50 Hours
· Change engine oil and filter.
· Change transmission oil and filter.
· Clean transmission suction screen.
· Change suction side filter.
· Check alternator belt tension.
· Check radiator hoses and clamps.
· Check air filter intake hoses and clamps.
· Check wheel bolt torque.
· Check tire air pressure.
· Check for loose, missing, or damaged parts.
· Lubricate lower brake pivot tubes.
· MFWD Models: Check front axle oil level.
· Check and clean rockshaft control valve filter.
· Check air restriction indicator. Replace only primary filter unless secondary filter is visibly damaged or indicator shows an air restriction after the primary filter has been changed

Mike,
Interesting information on the 3000 twenty series! I believe we both (among others) have been interested in looking at them when and if they ever come out. I was fortunate to have procured a JD sales meeting brochure on the new machines and can confirm the stats mentioned in the posts with that data sheet. The pamphlet was given to the attending dealers in the sales meeting apparently. My chief issue with my current 4310 has been a seeming lack of power in the midrange, especially during transport duties with the loader. I have been looking at the 3520, as it seemingly has an improvement in torque over my current machine. My question to you and others is: how much difference is 10-15 foot lbs. really going to make in the performance of one of these machines? I suspect not too much, but I suppose we all have to chance it if interested in getting the newer models. The other thing that concerns me is the collective groaning I hear from the service departments at the dealers I know, thinking about all the warranty issues and PIP's they (and we) could potentially see with the model changeover. Apparently, this is an issue each time a new 4000 (or now 3000) series has been introduced. I am curious to know whether the stats make you or our fellow posters feel we are significantly improving the breed. Thanks.

John M

This gets interesting.

The first set of power numbers that I posted were from Yanmar's site. They list Hp at rated rpm and then torque at max (much lower rpm). Actually, this makes perfect sense. But to compare the two series, we get to use both at the rated rpm. (or, until someone uncovers the max numbers for the TENs...)

The 4210 used the 3TNE82A, it gets dropped (much to Dutch's joy...)

the 3120 uses the 3TNV84 normally aspirated, it then is the new 4310. But it is slightly less powerful, which makes it an improved 4210, or a weaker 4310...

The 3320 uses the 3TNV88 normally aspirated, it then is the new 4410. But it is slightly less powerful, which makes it an improved 4310, or a weaker 4410...

Now the 3520 uses the 3TNV88 turbo aspirated, it then is the new 4410 on steroids.

The 3720 adds an intercooler and WOW!
