Imported Quick Hitch Extended Hook

It's all made in the USA, good steel and American labor is expensive, but well worth it right? I realize it's going on a Chinese made QH, but I refuse to go that route if I have the option of using domestic materials and labor.

Kenny, I'm rooting for you, and I'm all for supporting American manufacturing where it makes sense, but I'm scratching my head on this one. How does yours for $40 differ in fit and function from the extended top hook that's been sold for months by Quality Farm Supply for under $17? Especially on an imported QH.

The problem in my view is that, all too often, there is simply no USA made alternative to imported tools. I am tickled pink when there is one. I go by what I call the one-tank-of-gas rule. If the USA alternative costs more, up to the cost of a tank of gas, I go for the USA product without a second thought. That is worth it, to me, to support a USA manufacturer.

For a LONG time, those where unavailable after being on the market for a short time, maybe the container from China sunk in the ocean, who knows. So we developed ours along with sourcing custom USA made pins that fit it so you don't have to drill or ream out holes for standard pins. About the time ours were ready for sale, they reappeared in the marketplace.

Having USA made steel cut, the holes machined, and powder coated in the USA costs more money, yes. We will not ever try to compete with offshore materials and labor.
